The world of athletics mourns its own as three french athletes were killed in a helicopter crash in Argentina. Olympic swimming gold medalist Camille Muffat, boxing bronze medalist Alexis Vastine and pioneering sailor Florence Arthaud were among the 10 people killed when two helicopters filming a reality TV show crashed  yesterday. IOC President Thomas Bach says "We are shocked by this sad news. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of these great athletes who have left us."

Bach says "the world of sport and the Olympic family have lost three of their key members."He adds the athletes "were all not only champions in their sport but also contributed greatly as role models."Bach says the Olympic flag will be flown at half-staff for three days at International Olympic Committee headquarters.

Nigerian international Anthony Ujah finally realized his awkward anomaly celebration on Sunday during the FC cologne versus Eintracht Frankfurt game. Ujah grabbed the club mascot (a goat) by the horns in a way to celebrate after scoring to secure a 4-1 lead in the 81st minute of the game.According to reports the cologne forward ran to the side of the pitch after scoring to where the goat is positioned, grabbed the animal named Hennes VIII by the horns and attempted to drag it onto the pitch...this is the second time ujah is celebrating with the FC koln goat... however he later apologized for his act via twitter & Facebook saying 'Perfect Sunday. Sorry Hennes. I was a bit too rough on him,' also posting a photo of him pulling the goat...The match did end with cologne defeating Frankfurt 4-2, but i wonder what would have been his fate if cologne had lost the match after he displaced that overtly awkward celebration which was really uncalled for??? plus i think he was even lucky that the club  saw the humorous side of his gesture..because you and i know how Nigerians can be misinterpreted sometimes on the international scene..or what do you think?
