No Love for Heights in Korean Basketball league!


American professional basketball player David Simon faces a new rule designed to make South Korea’s competition less reliant on tall recruits.

David Simon, who plays for Anyang KGC, and stands at 6ft 7in,  got the news that he can no longer play in the Korean Basketball League on account of being too tall.

The Korean league is pushing to make the game less reliant on tall players and encourage the recruitment of small, skillful players in a bid to arrest the league’s recent decline in popularity.

The Korea Times reports that the KBL commissioner, Kim Young-il, said games which have become dull in recent years is expected to make the competition more exciting with the new rules.

Oh No Really!? Conor McGregor!


Irish professional mixed martial artist and boxer Conor Anthony McGregor has been arrested. 

Reports says the former Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight champion and former featherweight champion turned himself in at Brooklyn's 78th precinct on Thursday as he waits to be charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment today (Friday 6/04/18).

McGregor tweeted to say the New York State Athletic Commission had decided to pull him from his bout against Anthony Pettis. Addressing his opponent, he said: 'I'm devastated to say the least. @Showtimepettis I hope to run this match up ASAP, June 9th in your backyard. That's all I have to say for now. Much love.' 

Newly emerged footage showed McGregor picking up a dolly and hurling it at his rivals' bus after the UFC 223 media day at Barclays Center in New York City on Thursday.In video he is seen running to the bus and throwing the dolly at the moving bus, slamming a window through which the passengers can be seen.
