Yinka's Race



Nigeria’s Yinka Ajayi made it to the final of the women’s 400 meters at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games scheduled for today.

Yinka who competed in the second semi finals and  finished second with a time of 51.81 secs  also won gold for Nigeria in the 4X400m relay at the 2015 Africa Junior Championships in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Real vs Juve

Real Madrid will face Juventus tonight at the Santiago Bernabeu in a bid to book a place in the Semi finals of the champions league.

Compared to the old Lady,Los Blancos are perceived as favorites to go through and play in the next round of the competition.

A single goal for Los Blancos at the Bernabeu would force Juventus to score four in order to advance.

Bayern vs Roma

Bundesliga title holders Bayern munich FC  will lock horns with Sevilla FC at munich later today to book a place in the draw for the champions league semi finals on Friday.

Bayern who are enjoying a record-extending sixth successive championship win in the Bundesliga have been in brilliant form at the Allianz Arena, demolishing both Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund 6-0 in their last two home games. 

Sevilla on the other hand are winless in their four games since winning at Old Trafford and crashed to a 4-0 league defeat at Celta Vigo on Saturday.

The Odds seem high for the Spain side Sevilla but as the saying goes in Football "Anything can happen";so which side are you putting your money and your mouth?

Roma on Barca!

Even the world’s best player Lionel Messi couldn’t stop Roma last night as they beat Barcelona 3-0 to advance to the semi-finals 4-4 on aggregate. 

Roma who produced one of the greatest comebacks in Champions League history, last reached the last four of Europe's premier club competition in 1983-84 when they lost to Liverpool in the final.

Reactions have continued to trend on social media from commentators and Barca fans.

Cameroonian Athletes play games!

Reports says Eight Cameroonian athletes (3 weightlifters and 5 boxers)  who have valid Australian visas until 15th May 2018,have gone missing from their accommodation at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

The Commonwealth Games Federation said it would monitor the situation but athletes had "the right to travel freely" on their visas.

According to reports in 2012, seven Cameroonian athletes  disappeared while in the UK for the London Olympics.
